December 2004 Newsletter THE RIGHT’S STUFFThe Aquidneck Legal Center is protecting your rights Happy Holidays The holiday season finds the Aquidneck Legal Center successfully up and running at our offices in Middletown and Cranston. Please stop by to see our new conference room and to pick up our new brochure. New Year’s Resolutions Why not add a family resolution to your January 2005 intentions to lose weight and exercise? You won’t need to join a gym and you won’t need to count carbs. You will, however, have to pick up the telephone. One phone call to the Aquidneck Legal Center puts you well on the way to creating or updating your will. Planning ahead will protect your minor children and limit tax liability to your survivors. You don’t have to be wealthy to have a will and estate plan; you just have to care. Precarious Parties Family get-togethers, office holiday parties, late night religious services, and road trips to far-off places are all the fun activities that make the season special. They are also activities that can create drivers who are overtired, inattentive or maybe even intoxicated. If you find yourself the victim of a car accident or even under arrest for DUI or OUI it is very important to contact an attorney immediately. An experienced lawyer will deftly negotiate the best solution to the problem. January Seminar: Family Law Divorce, legal separation, child support, alimony, custody, and visitation, will all be reviewed at the family law seminar on Tuesday, January 11, at the Middletown Courtyard Marriott. This is a free informational seminar offered by Aquidneck Legal. Held from 6:30-8:30 pm the seminar format will consist of a brief presentation followed by a question and answer period.
