THE RIGHT’S STUFF

The Aquidneck Legal Center is protecting your rights

Happy New Year
January 2005 earmarks the beginning of our first calendar year in business.   We have set our sights on offering top notch legal services to all of our clients, both old and new.

Resolutions
We have several 2005 goals here at the Aquidneck Legal Center including fully automating our front and back office records and management programs.  We operate the Abacus software program for firm management and record keeping.  This award-winning program is a treasure for small firms wishing to spend time on client service, not on bookkeeping!

The second resolution is to further expand our client base on Aquidneck Island and southern Rhode Island.  As you know, Attorney Casale has a well established client base in Providence County and the East Bay.  We plan to broaden that client base by continuing the series of free seminars, advertising our services, and encouraging future referrals from clients past and present.

January Seminar: Family Law
Divorce, legal separation, child support, alimony, custody, and visitation, will all be reviewed at the family law seminar on Tuesday, January 11, at the Middletown Courtyard Marriott.  This is a free informational seminar offered by Aquidneck Legal.  Held from 6:30-8:30 pm the seminar format will consist of a brief presentation followed by a question and answer period.

Wills and Estates
With the start of the New Year we use this time to make resolutions.  Some are to lose weight.  Some are to stop smoking.  Consider a resolution to review your will and estate.  Persons who die without a will are deceased “intestate.”  This means, for example, that your relatives will divide their inherited assets equally, whether or not these are your wishes.  Or, another example applies to divorced couples.  Without a will, your ex-spouse becomes both guardian and trustee of your minor children.  Creating a will resolves many of the issues and answers some of the questions that loved ones will have when you have passed.  Create a will for your family during this new year.
